Free Screen Recorder
No Signup, No Account Required

Every other screen recorder makes you create an account before you can record. Loom gates you behind signup. Tella requires a profile. YoRecord doesn't. Open the page, click Record, download your video. No email, no password, no profile - just the recording.

Can I record my screen without signing up?

Yes. YoRecord is a free, browser-based screen recorder that records with no account, no email, and no signup. Open the page in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, click Record, and download an MP4 - no profile and no login. Capture happens entirely in your browser via the Web Screen Capture API and WebAssembly, so your recording stays on your device and is never uploaded unless you choose to create a share link. Free recordings run up to 10 minutes with no limit on how many you make; exports carry a small “Made with YoRecord” watermark.

Why no account?

Speed for one-off use

You need one video. Maybe a bug report. Maybe a job application. Creating an account to record two minutes of your screen is the wrong trade - it adds friction that has nothing to do with your actual goal. YoRecord doesn't ask.

Your recording stays local

Without an account, your recording never touches a server. Recording and processing happen entirely inside your browser via WebAssembly and WebCodecs — the same technology used by professional video tools, running locally. The file exists only on your device until you choose to download or share it. Other no-account tools upload to their cloud automatically; YoRecord doesn't.

Works where signup isn't an option

On a shared machine, a kiosk, or a work computer where you don't want to leave credentials behind - account-free means nothing persists. You record, you leave, nothing logged in.

no login, no registration — nothing stored, nothing tracked

YoRecord processes your recording entirely inside your browser. The rendering engine is WebAssembly — it runs locally, the same way a desktop app would, but without the download. Nothing leaves your device unless you decide it should.

Two paths when you don't have an account:

  • Record and download. The video processes locally. YoRecord's servers never see the file.
  • Record and share via link. You explicitly upload the MP4 so a recipient can view it in a browser. That is an opt-in step — not the default.

No registration also means no profile. There's no record of what you recorded, no email to follow up on, and no account to delete when you're done.

Some tools upload your recording to their servers as part of the standard sharing flow. YoRecord doesn't — local download is the default; cloud is the exception.

How it works

Three steps. No account required.

1

Open yorecord.com/recorder in Chrome or Edge

No download prompt. No install dialog. The recorder loads directly in your browser tab.

2

Click Record and choose what to capture

Select your full screen, a window, or a browser tab. Add your webcam and mic if you want. Then hit Go.

3

Download your video - no account required

When you stop, your recording is ready to download as an MP4. Sharing via link is optional - and still doesn't require an account to record.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create an account to use YoRecord?

No. You can record your screen, add a webcam overlay, generate AI subtitles, and download your video without creating an account or entering an email address. An account is only needed if you want to save a shareable cloud link - and even then, it's optional.

Is my recording stored on your servers if I don't have an account?

No. Without an account, your video recording never leaves your device - capture, transcoding, and export all happen inside your browser using WebAssembly and WebCodecs. The video is only uploaded if you explicitly choose to generate a shareable link; if you just download the file, the video is never sent anywhere. The one exception is AI subtitles: when you generate them, only the audio track is sent to Groq's Whisper API for transcription - your video itself stays in the browser. This is different from cloud-based no-account tools that automatically route entire recordings through their servers.

What if I want to share my recording without creating an account?

Download the MP4 file and share it however you'd normally share a file - email, Slack, Google Drive, whatever you already use. Cloud sharing with a shareable link is an optional feature, not a requirement. The recorder works fully without it.

Record your screen. Right now.

No account. No download. No friction. Open in Chrome or Edge and you're recording in under 10 seconds.
