Captions and chapters arrive with your recordingPermalink to this entry
Press Stop and the editor starts on captions and chapters for you, without being asked; a short wait later they are on the video. The switch is on the recorder, before Start, and its label says the audio is sent to our transcription service. Off means the audio stays where it is until you ask for captions yourself.

A smaller file for emailPermalink to this entry
The editor's export menu has a second row for Pro: Download for email, labelled Smaller file. It gives you a smaller export of the same edit, meant for attaching to a message rather than sending a link; how much smaller depends on the recording. Fast motion can smear a little at that setting.

Your cuts and crop come back when you reopenPermalink to this entry
Closing a recording and opening it again could lose the cuts Tighten made and the crop you set, putting you back to the untouched take. Both are kept with the recording now, so reopening one puts the timeline back the way you left it.

Long exports no longer run the tab out of memoryPermalink to this entry
Exporting a long recording could use up the browser tab's memory on some machines and stop before the file was finished. An export now keeps only a few frames in hand at a time rather than piling up the whole video first, so a long take gets through on a machine with less room to spare.

Agent walkthroughs zoom in on what mattersPermalink to this entry
A walkthrough recorded by your coding agent now moves in on whatever is being read or filled in, and holds still everywhere else. How close it goes follows the size of the thing it found: a gentle move for a card, right in for a menu, so the text a viewer is meant to read is legible without the picture lurching about.

Pro recordings are now crispPermalink to this entry
Pro now records and exports at up to 1440p instead of a fixed 1080p, so small text stays readable. You will see it on a Retina or 1440p screen; a 1080p screen was already getting every pixel. Recordings under about seven minutes keep the top setting; longer ones settle at 1080p so the share link still works.

Ums out in one tap, pauses one by onePermalink to this entry
Tighten collects every um and uh in your transcript and takes them all out in one tap. Pauses are handled the other way round, and on purpose: each silence is reviewed on its own, with two frames from the gap so you can see whether anything was happening on screen, and it is cut only once you accept it.

A click on the preview used to open Crop, which is almost never what the hand was reaching for. It now plays and pauses, the way a click on a video does everywhere else. Crop is still one press away in the tool panel, where the rest of the editing lives.

Agent walkthroughs without the dead airPermalink to this entry
A walkthrough recorded by a coding agent used to keep every second the agent spent thinking between steps, which is most of the file and none of the story. The capture clock now stops while it thinks and runs again when the browser moves, so what comes back is the walkthrough without the waiting.

Recorded something with QuickTime, OBS or another tool? Drop the file anywhere on your Library page, or press Import video in its toolbar, and it opens in the editor like a take of your own. MP4, MOV and WebM, up to the same length limit as recording. A file this browser cannot play is refused on the spot, with the reason.

Your logo on your exportsPermalink to this entry
Pro exports can carry your own mark instead of ours: a domain, a name, or your logo, in whichever corner you like. Set it once from the editor's Export menu and every export after that uses it. A logo gets a soft shadow so it stays readable on a light slide or a busy screenshot.

Continue a take that hit the limitPermalink to this entry
When a recording stops at the time limit, the editor now says so on arrival and offers to record the rest as a second clip joined onto the first. Before this, the take simply ended and the only way forward was to start again from the top.

Some exports came out with no sound and still reported success, which meant you could only find out after sending the video. The cause is fixed. If audio is ever lost again the editor says so straight away and offers to redo the export in one click.

Pro recordings go up to 20 minutesPermalink to this entry
The free limit stays at 10 minutes. Pro doubles it to 20. Either way the timer shows the ceiling from the first second and the browser tab counts down the last two minutes, so a take never stops as a surprise while you are looking at the app you are demoing.

Your AI coding agent can record a walkthroughPermalink to this entry
Add one command to a coding agent and it can drive a throwaway browser, record what it does, and hand you a share link. The client is a single file with no dependencies, so you can read the whole thing before you run it, and the browser it records is a fresh profile that is never signed in to anything of yours.

Faster exportsPermalink to this entry
The audio step of an export had been running on a single processor core for everybody, because of a check that rejected the faster build as though it were broken. It now uses every core your machine has, which roughly halves that part of the wait.
